Calling For A 40-Day Fast and Pray For the Chinese Homecoming

Dear Global 247 Prayer Wall Intercessor,

The Hong Kong family appealed to the global Chinese intercessors to be watchful and fast for the “Chinese Homecoming ” from July 24-27, so God’s will can be accomplished without any hindrance! This year’s Homecoming Gathering is extremely critical. The global Chinese are one, using God’s given privileges to Chinese to help  birth His kingdom on earth, and to lead the nations to come home to Father’s Heart! Please pray and seek God. Now is the  historical and strategic moment! It is about destiny and the situation in Hong Kong is stirring our spirits, very critical!.

This year (Jewish Year: 9/2018-9/2019) is the most special year in history, and it is also a year of possession of the land, to prepare for the coming of the Kingdom of God next year! We must know that this year is a year of possessing the land not a year of intercession (the promises since the creation of the world have been answered).

Every year in the Onething Gathering of the International House of Prayer  (IHOP) , it took many years for different ministries to have a mutual understanding, while working together.  There was a historical shift in the “Convergence Gathering” , bringing the leaders of the International House of Prayer, the Youth Mission (YWAM) and the Israeli Renaissance, Asher and Lynn Green together on the platform of Homecoming and became family. God is accelerating His work!

In 2016, I had a dream: two well-known leaders united for the glory of the Kingdom of God, just as the unity of John 17: the marriage of ministries and the exchange of robes. The meaning of marriage is to become one, but still two individuals. The Lord said that in 2019 I will respond to the prayers of My Son for the unity of John 17. Why this year? Because it will be too late next year; the world is pushing for One World Order and the body of Christ must become one sooner than the world.

God uses the Chinese to show unity to the world. Hong Kong is a historic place, so the enemy wants to destroy her. God chose this city because only Hong Kong can gather Chinese families. We want to express the unity of the Trinity, otherwise people will only know the relationship of the alliance. Without unity, people will be kept from knowing God.

In March of this year, there was a breakthrough in Japan. 12 people were baptized in one day in a 10-member church,  40 was baptized in another church, they were all young people… The veil of their hearts was removed!

Dark forces want to destroy our “Oneness”, he knows his time is running out. God wants to accomplish “Oneness”  in July , not by warfare, but by something we have already possessed! The church needs to be prepared, with the faith of “Oness” we already have ! The authority that God has given to the body of Christ far exceeds the authority of the earth in reality and in position!

This year, is the body of Christ physically ready to rule and reign? To become a representative of God? Are we able to love the enemy? The people that escaped from North Koreans were screaming in deep pain, They couldn’t forgive the North Korean government. It helps me understand why it will be hard for us to love and to trust the Chinese government. But God will take us higher than all the principality and  powers, and by demonstrating the unique qualities of God, the enemy will be very scared!

Chinese Homecoming will give us a foretaste of the oneness of the global body! We receive a new commandment: love others as God loves us, which can’t be done by man, but by total surrender! The power of love can change the regime and the nation! God is love, where there is love, there is God! The Chinese may ask: what is our role? It is to prepare for the transformation of the government, to replace the kingdom of  the earth with the kingdom of God! How do we possess the land? Because the Chinese has the authority to help birth His kingdom on earth, and to lead the nation to come home!

The last stronghold is in Hong Kong. What happened is for the world to see. It is not just the battle of Hong Kong, but our battle! After God has dealt with Japan, His eyes is now  on Hong Kong!

Letter from home 6/21/19: The Combination of Our Free Will and God’s Sovereignty

Not long ago, I carried with me on the plane a couple of my journal notes. While reading, my thought went back to the past decades. Now I have the understanding and am comforted – the wandering roads I took in the past were not a waste of time. I learned from my mistakes so I can appreciate the core values of the “Homecoming” which I have found now. In the past, I worked hard out of my zeal, trying to follow what others said and did, running after the crowds like a hunting dog not sure what I was pursuing, and forgot to ask God exactly what He wanted. But today, like a fruit tree, the older it gets the more fruitful it becomes – colorful, flavorful, tasty and sweet; walking with more wisdom, unlike the young friends of Rehoboam who were just arrogant and ignorant, but is more like my father-in-law, Dr. Chiung-Lin Chen, who retired at the age of eighty some, his medical students see him as a jewel because what he has learned out of experiences is not what can be obtained from textbooks! … detailed reading.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ________ (put your name in it) come to the throne of grace, through the blood of Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, to receive Your abundant grace and mercy.   Lord Jesus, ________ confess You are the Lord of my life.   I ask the resurrected power of the Holy Spirit to fill and saturate every part of my being.   I surrender all my spirit, soul and body completely to You.  Now I ask You to reveal to me, remind me of any sin that I have committed known or unknown, so that I can confess and repent of them accordingly. (Recommendation:  quiet yourself, so you can allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you)

Cleanse me from all the defilement of the world, sanctify me and my family line of any unrighteousness with the blood of Jesus.   Now by my own will, I choose to forgive everyone that has offended me or hurt me, I release them into the freedom of my forgiveness.   I also release them from the debts they might owe me. I now cast all my burden to You .  Your yoke is easy, Your burden is light.   I now put on the armor of God that You have given me, gird myself with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, my feet fitted with the gospel of peace, so that I can pray and intercede in the Holy Spirit by Your mighty power, and after done all to stand firm.

Let us declare the following:

• In the name of Jesus, the blessings and the peace of God will replace all the curses from Islamic extremists.
• In the name of Jesus, all the terror attacks that Islamic extremists plan will fail and be interrupted before they can even start.
• In the name of Jesus, the salvation and grace of God will come into the lives of these Islamic extremists.

• In the name of Jesus, the grace of God and salvation will come to the LGBT group.

• God’s judgment upon the crooked nations: Father, we praise You for the Mighty work through President Trump. The world uses their influence and ways to oppress nations then boast their work for humanity. But Your Word affirms: ‘How boastful you are about the valleys. Your valley is flowing away. O backsliding daughter who trusts in her treasures, saying: “Who will come against me?’ (Jeremiah 49:4).  For the God of Israel has spoken, God of Judgment will come against them.
• Cleanse and renew justice system: Father, May You render heaven on earth as Heaven to our states, cities, land and seas, may the Power of Your Law removes crooked judges, prosecutors, attorneys, judicial system at all levels. Remove the authority behind law-givers, legislators, illegitimate squatters, thieves and idlers, establish fear-of-the-Lord counselors and judges, in the Spirit of Patriotism of godly nations.

• The enemy’s plan will eventually fail: Father, we pray to declare manipulation and destruction for America is completely bound. Lord, may our praise of victory tear down evil strongholds; they will run into every brick wall set before their steps, with failures, frauds and unceasing defeats.   • The army of the Lord is arising to magnify the kingdom of God on the earth.
  • The voices of the people  are being released in Hong Kong, to resonate with the voice of God to bring great breakthroughs.
  • The new glory river will break through many gates, and Hong Kong will receive favor and grace!
• Pray for Hong Kong’s Government to Undo “Extradition Bill”:  Heavenly Father, thank You for listening to the prayers, and continue to touch the hearts of the Hong Kong Chief Executive and the senior officials of the public and the Legislative Council, respond to public opinion demands, remove the injustices, and formulate godly law.
• Rise up More Churches to Walk in Unity : Heavenly Father, thank You for taking this event, tp stir the churches to unite with each other and enter an unprecedented unity and real family relationship. Rise up more churches to walk together, bless Hong Kong with selfless love, and release a sound together for the Lord, to shine! May Your glorious power intervene, to release peace and Your presence into Hong Kong, protect the safety of law enforcement personnel and the people, reduce violence and injury in the protest, may You tenderize their hearts, to become a good ground for the gospel, lead Hong Kong into a spiritual harvest!
• May Mercy and Grace Come Upon the People of Hong Kong: Heavenly Father, You love the people of Hong Kong and Hong Kong deeply, May Your  Holy Spirit pour out and move mightily in Hong Kong, to draw more people to You at this moment, to enjoy the peace and freedom from heaven, to overcome the pain and obstacles, forgive and bless the chief executive and the government!
• Pray for the Younger Generation: Heavenly Father, this is the day You rule and reign, rise up the young people in Hong Kong like the morning dew , Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you  like dew from the morning’s womb (Psalm 110:3).   • Japan is the “sharpened sickle” in the hands of the Lord. The Gospel is quick to harvest and bring the glorious harvest.
  • The Lord of Hosts has taken full power in all areas of Japan, releasing the lions of Judah from the fields of politics, economy, education, family, religion, media and art and entertainment.
  • The Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Chinese Christian families around the world joined hands to spread the gospel all the way back to Jerusalem.

Pray for the First Nations in Turtle Island – Awaken The Heart of The Father in The Plains of The United States

Editor’s note: Last week we published the information released by American intercession leader Rebecca Greenwood, which confirmed the significance of the “Nine Sioux Reservations Prayer Journey” (click here for  prayers). This week we learned that at the same time, there will be a gathering of “Welcoming the King of Glory” in Wyoming, one of the plain states.   • The new strategy will be birthed and implemented, overthrowing the pillar of injustice in the heart of the United States.

• Remove The Evil Roots of The Curse And Heal The Wounds: Heavenly Father, please reveal to the First Nation believers, not to engage in cultural activities that encourage the power of witchcraft, such as worshiping the sun god, no longer be mystified by the medicine man, to clearly understand the truth, and spiritual discernment, reject and cut off any vows and ungodly soul ties,  pull out all the evil roots of the curse, and the control of  the power of witchcraft and religious spirit, and be delivered from the oppression and deceptions of the enemy. Pray for United States: U.S.-Iran Rising Crisis

【 Update: On 6/17, Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan announced deployment of approx. 1,000 more US troops to the Middle East for defensive purpose. The new deployment is in addition to a 1,500-troop announced in May. 

• 2 Corinthians 10:3  ‘For though walk in flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.’
• Haggai 2:17 ‘I smite you and every work of your hands with blasting wind, mildew and hail, yet you did not come back to Me!’ declares the Lord.

Iran President Hussan Rouhani said today Iran would not wage war against any nation. The fear of confrontation between Iran and the U.S. have mounted since attacks on two oil tankers near the strategic Strait Hormuz shipping lane which Iran denied their involvement.

U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo again affirmed the recent 1,000 deployment is strictly for defensive purpose – to deter aggression in the region. America is not seeking war with Iran. (2 Cor. 10:3)

President Trump has urged other countries to boycott Iranian oil or face sanctions of their own. On Monday Iran threatened it would soon breach limits on how much enriched uranium they can stockpile under a 2015 nuclear deal. The nuclear deal had sought to limit its nuclear capabilities, now exceeding the uranium cap could prompt a diplomatic crisis, forcing other signatories, which including China, Russia and European powers, to confront Iran. China’s top diplomat urged (US) not to drop out of the landmark nuclear deal.

Warnings

The Trump administration says the nuclear deal, which was negotiated by the previous Democratic administration, failed to address Iran’s missile program and does not punish it for waging proxy wars in other Middle East countries. It does not prohibit production of nuclear capabilities; it does not require dismantling nuclear elements; not against storage of rich uranium for later expansion after certain period. It’s a delightful nuclear pact without pressure. Even with sanction now, Iranian regime has avoided negotiation with US’ demands. (Haggai 2:17)

Today, Secretary Pompeo remarks: (Heb. 12:14) It’s our mission to convince the Iranian regime not to move forward with their nuclear program and not to continue to engage in development of their missiles and all the other activities, the malign activities that they’ve been engaged in around the world. We want to convince Iran that it’s not in their best interests to behave this way. This is a 40 years of Iranian activity that has led us to this point (sanction). And to establish deterrence is a challenge, but one that I know the Trump administration is up to. And we’re working each and every day, both in the State Department and the Department of Defense, and all of the elements of the U.S. Government to achieve that.

Latest Development: As of 6/21, President Trump approved military strikes against Iran in retaliation for downing an American Surveillance drone, but pulled back from launching them on Thursday night after a day of escalating tensions. As late as 7 pm, military and diplomatic officials were expecting a strike, after intense discussions and debate at the White House among the president’s top national security officials and congressional leaders confirming the strike. Officials said the president had initially approved attacks on a handful of Iranian targets, like radar and missile batteries.

The operation was underway in its early states when it was called off. Planes were in the air and ships were in position, but no missiles had been fired when his word came to stop the operation.

The President here showed restraint to quickly reversing a highly critical attack. The reason behind the cancellation began with his question about the measure of attack. The measure given cannot be justified for the explosive outcome.】

Pray For United States:Who is Behind the Puppet Prosecutors?

【Alert: The new Virginia prosecutor has huge plan to eliminate drug possession charges, cash bail and death penalty (crimes), and restoring the voting rights to 200,000 Virginia felons. Recent example, Chicago prosecutor (since 2016), Kim Fox, decided to drop all criminal charges against race-baiting crime. These prosecutors are elected to be ‘Soft on Crime’ or ignoring the laws.  

1 Timothy 6:17 ‘Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches,  but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.’

Ezekiel 31:12 ‘Foreign dictators have trimmed it down to size and abandoned it. Its branches have fallen off on mountains and in all they valleys. Its boughs have broken off in all the ravines of the land. All the nations of the earth have moved out of its shade and abandoned it.’

Judicial System and more

Through George Soros’ ‘Open Society Foundation’, he funneled through PAC (Political Action Committee, a 527 organization pools’ contributions for members, to donate to campaigns for, or against candidates, ballot initiatives, or legislation) more than $700,000 was poured into ‘puppet prosecutor Virginia’ election. Soros lives in New York, but influence on Virginia law is critical. The newly installed Virginia prosecutor will eliminate drug possession charges (it has been successfully curbing drug violence over the last 30 years) and on selective law enforcement, and the next national election. (1 Tim 6:17)

By installing State’s prosecutors, it’s Soros’ way to circumvent Virginia law. Prosecutor will selectively enforce laws, aim to adding huge control to Virginia voting ledgers, to swing Virginia’s next national election. 

There’s so much wrong with this, it’s tough to summarize. Soros has found mainstream media has lost its influence, now he really can buy smaller and local elections at lesser cost, if he targets correctly, he can completely circumvent state and national legislation to instill the laws he wants to see. As these local influences add up, he will eventually be dictating how our country is run, from top to bottom. He also will not stop making massive donations to Democratic party aligned with these puppet prosecutors.

Linchpin of Judicial System

Soros (agnostic Jew) admitted he will push even harder for his agenda. In 2018, he spent $5 Million with focus on minorities, women and young voters in Florida, Michigan and Nevada. He has also continued to invest in district (local) attorney races, believing prosecutors are ‘the linchpin of the judicial system’ and key to his effort to reduce prison sentences.

Defiant Agenda against America’s Freedom

Freedom isn’t destroyed in a single blow, its death is by a thousand cut. Soros is wielding the knife deftly. He aims to be the dictator behind the scenes (politics) and is off to a new start again. (Ezekiel 31:12)】

Pray for Israel: Pray for the Crisis of the Disbanded Israeli Government

【Current Event: Less than two months ago Netanyahu seemed to have won the Israeli elections with a strong showing both for the Likud party and the right wing in general. Then in the complexity of Israeli political maneuvering and because of the rather bizarre refusal of Avigdor Liberman to join the potential coalition, the time ran out, and Netanyahu was unable to form the government.

The normal procedure at that point would have been for President Rivlin to offer to the second-place party – Blue and White, under Benny Gantz, the opportunity to form an alternative government.  Since Netanyahu did not want that to take place, he proposed disbanding the current Knesset and setting new elections for the autumn. This motion was passed, and September 16 was set as the new date.

The whole country is somewhat in shock, or frustration, or depression, at what seems like an incredibly dysfunctional political system.  Even we as Messianics are somewhat bewildered in trying to understand God’s will in this situation. Pray for Hong Kong – Pray for The Shock Caused by The “Extradition Bill”

【Current Affairs : The  Hong Kong Government has promoted the revision of the “Fugitive Offenders Ordinance” and has launched a large number of public demonstrations. Following the demonstration of millions of Hong Kong people on the streets on June 9, the second anti-extradition bill of 2 million people in Hong Kong on June 16 shocked the world.  The “Civil Human Rights Front” put forward five major demands, including: “Do not prosecute demonstrators”, “Cancel the qualitative riots”, “seek the responsibility for shooting”, “Remove the evil law”, and “Lin Zhengyue” step down. Chief Executive Lin Zhengyue announced that she had suspended the revision of the “Fugitive Offenders Ordinance” and apologized to the whole people on the 18th, but was not able to calm public anger. On the 20th, the Hong Kong Government still did not respond positively. The demonstrations began to escalate again on the 21st.

“Pray for The Peace Of This City” Prayer Movement Rise Up in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Church launched the “Pray for the Peace for This City” prayer campaign to mobilize Christians to pray for Hong Kong from June 10 to 12 for three consecutive days. Later, the public prayer meeting was held. Recently, the intercessor also launched a 6-18-7/27 fasting prayer for the Hong Kong Homecoming Gathering in July.

The public prayer meetings were packed; the worship on the street calmed the anger of some passers-by; the pastors gathered early in the morning near the government headquarters and the Legislative Council, prepare to protect the young people who came to the demonstration and even to shelter them from the police.

The most classic is the prayer meeting on the evening of June 11. That night, in the prayer meeting of the government headquarters, thousands of brothers and sisters sang “Sing Hallelujah to the Lord” and went through the whole night until 9 hours in the morning. Some citizens even joined in the singing, and it was said that people’s hearts were touched and gave their lives to Jesus! Many people think it is a miracle that so many people standing in the rain, worshiping on the street spontaneously!

“Pray for the peace of the city and the night is shining at the end of the night.” The public prayer meeting was held at 4-5 pm on June 16 in the Central Festival. Pastor Chen Enming first pointed out that I hope that people can see Jesus in us because people need to see Jesus. “Only Jesus Christ can bring repentant grace to a broken society. There is no repentance and no harmony. Let us love each other in the love of God and love each other according to the truth. Hong Kong will still become the beautiful port of the world with the fragrance of Christ..”

Pray for Japan – Pray that Japanese Law Will Never Recognize Same-Sex Marriage

【Background: The Japanese opposition parties including the Democratic Party, the Communist Party and the Social Democratic Party were affected by the legalization of same-sex marriage in Taiwan. On June 3, the House of Commons amended the “Marriage Equality Act”, including the same-sex marriage legislation, allowing same-sex couples to adopt children, change of the terminology for spouse and parents  in the marriage and use the gender-neutral terminology for the parties in the marriage.

On February 14 this year, Valentine’s Day Japan’s 13 same-sex couples accused Japanese law of prohibiting same-sex couples from marrying, infringing on their constitutional rights, and demanding state compensation. Some household administrations in Tokyo, Japan, began issuing “certificate of partnership” to same-sex couples in 2015. This certificate is not equal to the marriage certificate. It claims that there is “no applicable law” and refuses to handle the same-sex couple’ applications for same-sex marriage. These same-sex couples were later separated because they found that they were not suitable for each other.

The Japanese people referred to LGBT as a gender minority with a “gender identity disorder”. Today’s Japanese dramas featuring homosexuality appear more and more on television  in an attempt to win public sympathy.】

In the past, Bosnia and Herzegovina was ruled by the ancient Turkish Ottoman Empire. At that time, only Muslims could enter the upper class. Officials encouraged farmers to convert to Islam. They could enjoy certain tax exemptions, causing many people to convert to Muslims. Christians is considered to be “animal” in social status. Their children were forced to leave their parents and families from an early age, and they were trained in the children’s communes to become the source of future guards.

Modern Sad History of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The fuse of the First World War took place in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nine Sioux Reservations Prayer Journey (June 23-June 30)

Thanks to the Lord, three years ago, the brothers and sisters of the East Coast commissioned me by faith to go to the reservations to visit and to know them. I promised them at that time, there are many families who love them. One day they will come to visit them. Thank the Lord, I see it with my own eyes today, and may the Lord’s great love continue to encourage us to touch us and to fulfill His own dreams.

  • The Sioux First Nation have been worshipping the sun for a long time. This is a great obstacle in the spiritual realm. You can even see Egypt, Japan, and North Korea under such control. May the Lord help us in this trip to know where the poisonous root is and dig it out.
  • The hurt from past history, especially from the impressions and memories brought by the government and bureaucrats. It is a big breakthrough this time for their governor’s husband to come to the gathering. Let us continue to pray for the female governor that loves the Lord to bring a change of the memories.
• Long-Term Healing and Deliverance to Gradually Happen in The Reservations . Pastor Wu and his wife from the Taiwanese First Nation will ignite the fire and open up this ancient portal. The families coming from the west coast of the East Coast, are like the firewood to be burned. The family full with passion and pays the price to come is definitely the key to the breakthrough.
• Economic and Social Support , Lord, help us find out what kind of treasures and resources God has reserved for them in these reservations, so that they can be self-sufficient from their reservations, not only they can find ways to make a living but also be prosperous and be revived.
• Don’t Take a High Position: When coming to the reservations. hoping to bring restoration and unity, We must never take a position as if we are better than them, but because we have all received the mercy of God.
• John 3:16 vs. 1 John 3:16 : John 3:16 reminds us what the Lord Jesus did for us, then 1 John 3:16 reminds us to learn from Jesus who laid down His life for us, we should do that to our brothers and sisters, especially the First Nation brothers and sisters, because many of them suffered a lot in Christian boarding schools. May the Lord use us for them to feel, appreciate, and even taste the true love that comes from Jesus.

Linda Prince, the grand chief of North America, will hold a gathering of “Welcoming  the King of Glory” in Wyoming, USA. The First Nation is the steward of the land. They are also the pioneers of the army of God. When they pray, the Lord showed me the gate of heaven open. Countless angels are welcoming an army. The army is neat and orderly, walking in the front of the army is the chief wearing a feathered crown, when the First Nation arise, is the time the gate opens wide, the army of God is prepared and ready. The First Nation is the original gatekeepers who would open the door for Jesus, the King of Glory, and welcome Him to Wyoming, to heal the land, raise up the warriors, and release the wave of glory for the endtime harvesting of souls 】

Calling For A 40-Day Fast and Pray For the Chinese Homecoming

John 17:1-4 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:“Father, the hour has come. 1st Day

Lord, thank You, yes, the time has come for the Father and the Son to receive the greatest glory, because Jesus’ prayers before He left the earth have been answered, and the Chinese five siblings are fully integrated into one, to satisfy the heart of Jesus, to fulfill the prayers of The Son’s!

Heavenly Father, May You be glorified, to declare Your wisdom to the principalities and powers through the unity of the Chinese people. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven without hindrance through Your unified body, Amen!

Day 2

Lord Jesus, Your are the Lord of the earth, of all flesh, because the Father has given You authority to have dominion over the world. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for watching over the Chinese, You gave us eternal life, as we went through suffering, persecution and division. We still continue to come to You generations after generations. The waves of revival continued to happen to the 5 siblings   without ceasing.  They even led to global worship movement, to reignite the decline in the spirit of the Western church!

Lord Jesus, the Chinese Homecoming in July, is the day Father God will glorify You. You will receive the glory, it is the day the Chinese dedicates the fruits of the mercy and grace of the past and the day of celebrating of the Chinese family coming into one! May You keep us, receive us, and send warring angels to fight for us to take back the un-possessed land! Lord Jesus, may You sit on the throne and reign over China!I  Pray in the victorious name of Jesus !Amen!

Day 3

Lord Jesus, thank You for letting the Chinese to know You, to know the eternal one and only true God, for He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption,the forgiveness of sins. (Col 1:13-14)

Christianity was once regarded as a Western religion, but today it is the core of our lives, transforming our minds of slavery: we are the children of God, the steward of God, prophet, priest, anointed king, the position and authority is on us!

Lord Jesus, the Chinese family belongs to You. We have eternal life, and we have eternal temperament, reaction, and what we say and do can bring the blessings of eternal life! May You intervene in the emotions of Chinese, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and overseas Chinese. Heal us and release us from the damage we have suffered in history and in the political situations, cleanse all the flesh and fear, let us trust each other and in the living God. The love for each other that transcends the hate between nations, for the one that accuses the brethren day and night to retreat in shame, to God be the glory! Pray in the victorious name of Jesus! Amen!

Day 4

Lord Jesus, thank You for being incarnated, lead the disciples, crucified on the cross, resurrected and ascended into the heavens and carried out the will of the heavenly Father’s on the earth without fail, so that we can come out of death into life, no longer be orphans and sojourner, but be family of God! You obey the Father fully, accomplished the things that God has entrusted You, be the perfect demonstration and example for us: what it is to glorify God on the earth!

Lord Jesus, now You also want us to obey the Father completely, to fulfill what God has entrusted in us! Thank You for letting China experience the baptism of history, letting the five siblings that grew up in different territories, political, economic, social and even spiritual atmospheres, so that we can absorb different spiritual nutrients and develop different gifts. Every effort is made to establish the body of Christ, and in the end to be completely become one in Christ. May the five siblings, to not only do one’s part, but also the part for the whole body of Christ, and obey Him completely!

Letter from Home 6/21/19: The Combination of Our Free Will and God’s Sovereignty

Not long ago, I carried with me on the plane a couple of my journal notes. While reading, my thought went back to the past decades. Now I have the understanding and am comforted – the wandering roads I took in the past were not a waste of time. I learned from my mistakes so I can appreciate the core values of the “Homecoming” which I have found now. In the past, I worked hard out of my zeal, trying to follow what others said and did, running after the crowds like a hunting dog not sure what I was pursuing, and forgot to ask God exactly what He wanted. But today, like a fruit tree, the older it gets the more fruitful it becomes – colorful, flavorful, tasty and sweet; walking with more wisdom, unlike the young friends of Rehoboam who were just arrogant and ignorant, but is more like my father-in-law, Dr. Chiung-Lin Chen, who retired at the age of eighty some, his medical students see him as a jewel because what he has learned out of experiences is not what can be obtained from textbooks! As I think about all the mistakes I made, I can smile, I would like to ask, which one of the great men of faith in Hebrews chapter 11 did not make a mistake? I realized now that I can see clearer even when I counsel people, no longer beating around the bush, I am bolder to speak the truth. I am not easily offended anymore, because I know that I have offended others also. I am thinking, if young people don’t like to walk with the older generation, it would be a great loss, the precious experience of the elderly is obtained through the vicissitudes of life. The aged pine trees off the cliffs are old but strong, enduring countless wind and storms through the years. The smooth round stones, big or small, on the beach have been washed over for centuries. How many chisels do the sculpture need to go through under its master artist? Most of what we eat and use have to go through fire! Roast duck tastes the best when it is roasted to the point the skin and the meat is separated, isn’t it? The wasteland in the wilderness needs to be ploughed through to turn the soil over, in order to look forward to the joy of the harvest in the coming year. Freshly baked Crispy cream doughnuts that many people standing in line for, do you realize it is made of the wheat that had been through grinding, sifting, kneading, roasting and frying? How can our growth in character and spiritual life be any different?

While reading the Bible yesterday, I happened to notice that this fourth Bible I had used for 22 years, was full of endless comments all over the the Bible margins. I couldn’t stop wondering what a marvelous work God had done in my life. Before I believed in God, I fiercely opposed Christianity, but since the day I came into the faith, I have been serious and never stop pursuing spiritual things even till now. But I see many friends and relatives who never pay any attention to the things pertaining to their spiritual lives; I also see many believers careless and indifferent to the things of God. I don’t quite understand… I am thinking: it probably is the result of the interaction between God’s sovereignty and man’s free will. This is beyond my comprehension… God gives people free will, but still God rules everything. Everyone’s life is a combination of his own free will and God’s leading. Because on the one hand, people are not robots, people can choose to respond or not, and on the other hand, God is omnipotent and omniscient. It’s a mystery. In the limitation of man, it seems conflicting and not easy to understand, but if we look at it from higher than the fourth dimension, there shouldn’t be any conflict. Look at the characters in the entire Bible, some people God let them be, and there is no more record of them in the Bible, and some were rambunctious, but God still have compassion to guide and to give a second chance… March on, my soul; be strong! Since the Lord is compassionate and gracious, faithful in keeping His covenant of love, so you and I should even more determined to use our free will to choose to believe in Him, to love Him, and to follow His words….

Ever since God created man, He has always shown Himself to people, unfortunately only a few responded. Whenever God revealed Himself, these people built an altar and offered sacrifices and called on the name of the Lord – like Adam, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Sham, Tara, Abram, Isaac, Jacob and so on … Their names were recorded in the genealogy of the Bible, and every generation God has preserved his remnant. Yet there were others whom the Bible recorded for a little while then stopped. Naomi has two daughters-in-law, one is Ruth, everyone is familiar with, but what is the name of the other? We can’t remember, neither is she recorded in the Bible any longer, isn’t it? Esau looked at a temporal bowl of red bean soup more than God’s promise, and sold his birthright as the eldest son, so the name of God was changed, It should have been “The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Esau” now it becomes “The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” In the New Testament God’s principles have not changed – there are crowds and the disciples; goats and sheep; there are foolish virgins and wise virgins; church of Laodicea and church of Philadelphia; there are people crying and gnashing of teeth outside the city and people sitting on the throne and reigning with Christ… From ancient times to the present God is always looking for people – those who are willing to know Him, believe in Him, experience Him, obey His Word, and keep His covenant. God adopts these people to be His family, His treasured possessions, and gives them promises sworn by His own name. Think about this, are there 100 out of a 1,000 these people? Or 10 out of 1,000?  How about you? Will you be willing to have a part of this incredible salvation and eternal promise? But there are whole bunch of people who don’t believe, don’t want it and even don’t care, how foolish!

Sitting downstairs in the office looking out the window, the green leaves of the bushes are not moving in the foggy morning mists, I can only hear the chirping of the birds, and saw a couple of them dashing over the treetops. My heart rejoices, content, peaceful and secured… I am at home in the Lord, may the Father also find rest in me…
