Dear Heavenly Father, I ________ (put your name in it) come to the throne of grace, through the blood of Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, to receive Your abundant grace and mercy.   Lord Jesus, ________ confess You are the Lord of my life.   I ask the resurrected power of the Holy Spirit to fill and saturate every part of my being.   I surrender all my spirit, soul and body completely to You.  Now I ask You to reveal to me, remind me of any sin that I have committed known or unknown, so that I can confess and repent of them accordingly. (Recommendation:  quiet yourself, so you can allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you)

Cleanse me from all the defilement of the world, sanctify me and my family line of any unrighteousness with the blood of Jesus.   Now by my own will, I choose to forgive everyone that has offended me or hurt me, I release them into the freedom of my forgiveness.   I also release them from the debts they might owe me. I now cast all my burden to You .  Your yoke is easy, Your burden is light.   I now put on the armor of God that You have given me, gird myself with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, my feet fitted with the gospel of peace, so that I can pray and intercede in the Holy Spirit by Your mighty power, and after done all to stand firm.

• Take back the land, at any cost
  • Father, we decree and declare we will take back what belongs to you, through this act of target focused repentance that we are engaged in.
  • Father, in the name of Jesus, we repent for not having a humble heart, walking in pride, having haughty spirits, and attitudes, thinking because we are in leadership we don’t have to repent.
  • Father, we repent for not walking in a Spirit of Repentance daily and for not discipling others to do the same, knowing that an effective warfare starts with target focused repentance.
  • Father, in the name of Jesus, we repent for engaging in friendly fire, attacking others in the Body of Christ, shooting our own wounded, because we may not agree with that person.  We repent for our arrogance, murdering others with our words when your word says “thou shall not murder”.
  • Father, in the name of Jesus, we repent for having a religious, legalistic, and critical spirits, creating chaos, aiding the kingdom of darkness, and committing spiritual treason by dividing the brethren.
  • Father, in the name of Jesus, we repent for not operating in a spirit of unity; love, mercy, and grace, allowing our love to grow cold, and not showing the same love, mercy, and grace, that you have shown us.
  • Father, we ask that you would heal the divide in your people, give us the strength, the maturity, and the discernment to push away everything that is separating us from you, from one another, and from operating as the one true army you have chosen us to be.
  • Father, in the name of Jesus, we repent for having an intellectual knowledge of you, but truly not knowing your ways.
  • Father, forgive us for the spiritual arrogance this has created, operating out of our intellect, versus out of your spirit, honoring you with our lips but our hearts are far from you.
• Declare the harvest in the United States
  • Father, as we move into target focused prayer; we ask that you would remember the good things that your America has done, from the spreading of your gospel throughout the earth, to the blood being spilled on foreign soil, liberating countries so your gospel could flow.
  • Father, America has never received her harvest, so we decree and declare that America’s harvest is here now.
  • Father, you said that America’s harvest would come back to her 7-fold what the enemy has stolen, so we decree and declare that Americas 7-fold return is here now.
  • Father, you said that America would be the hub from which the end time harvest would be launched, to free the spiritually oppressed peoples of the earth.  We decree and declare that your will be done, to bring in over 1 billion souls into the Kingdom of God.
  • Father, we pray for your leadership over this country, your Army and the people of this country, that a fresh habitation of your Holy Spirit would fall, hover and brood over us.
  • Father, we decree and declare as your Army, that as this Holy Spirit habitation takes place, that you’re America on all levels WILL BE turned back to you.
• Bless President Trump and the US government
  • Father, we pray for and bless President Trump and his administration.  We ask that you would give them the 7-fold spirit to operate in, the Spirit of the LORD, Wisdom, Revelation, Council, Might, Knowledge, and the Gear of the LORD.
  • Father, we ask for your protection around president Trump and his family.  We cover them with the blood of Jesus. We decree and declare Zechariah 2:5 around him and his family, a wall of fire with your Glory in the center of it that no witchcraft, no voodoo, no hex, no vex, no word curse, no power, no principality, and no demon in hell can penetrate.
  • Father, your hand is upon this president and we decree and declare that he will not be impeached, assassinated, or harmed in any way and that no weapon formed against him or his family will prosper.
  • Father, in the name of Jesus, we decree and declare that America will complete her destiny that you have given her.
  • Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you would release your protecting angels to surround America, and that they would stand shoulder to shoulder so that no evil can penetrate.
  • Father, we ask that America from her enemies foreign and domestic.
  • Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you would expose any and all corruption in all levels of leadership in government, and in your house, and that those who are corrupt would be removed.
  • Father, we ask that your divine justice would be carried out against any and all corruption.
• Bless Israel, align with God
  • Father, we pray for and bless Israel.  We ask that the relationship between Israel and America would be stronger than ever.
  • Father, we ask that you would protect Israel from all her enemies foreign and domestic, and that she would prosper like never before.
  • Father, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and we ask that a habitation of your Holy Spirit would come to Israel.
  • Father, we pray for and bless Prime Minister Netanyahu, we ask that you would protect him and his family Lord.
  • Father, we ask that you would give him and his administration the 7-fold spirit to govern Israel.
  • Father, we ask that divine exposure and justice would come to those that would try to stop heavens agenda for America, President Trump, and Israel.

  • Father, we pray boldly with realignment of our Supreme Court system! We’ve fallen short of Your pure justice. We have allowed the fear of man replaced the Fear of the God, thus entered corruption, and partiality defilement to the godly foundation. (1 Pe. 1:17)
  • Lord, please grant us grace and humility for Your Honorable representation in fair justice. We’re thankful for those who has not defiled, have exercised extreme reverence of Your rule of Law and mercy as needed. (Psa. 89:15)
  • Father, we submit the pending and future displacement of High Justice. With every important justice is the godly order of the next 50 years. We are in deep desperation for godly replacement. May it be some if not all of those will be replaced according to Your Will. May those pending justice will abandon deviated practices, impartiality, corruption, selfish gains until their time is up. Grant President Trump undisputable constitutional power and authority for timely endorsements and installations. In Jesus Name. Amen. (2 Chron. 19:5-7)

• Pray for LBGT : Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap, and repent on behalf  of LBGTQ. Please forgive the sins of the ancestors and families for not knowing You, even deliberately do not want to know You. Forgive us for worshipping created beings, false gods, spirits, and sin of idolatry. Our sins had affected our generations of decedent. Heavenly Father, forgive us of our ignorance, rebellion, fornication, pride, idolatry, and worshipping the false God. Wash us with the blood of Jesus, to cleanse us of our unrighteousness. Heavenly Father, help them to experience You, and lead them to return to the only true God that created them!
• Repent for the church’s rejecting the LGBT: Heavenly Father, we repent for the church. You teach us to hate the sin but love the sinners. We are not walking in the truth. Often we judge, reject and exclude them and even think that we are holier than them. Heavenly Father, we have all sinned against You. While we were yet sinners, You have first loved us, accepted us, and brought us back to Your family. You are a God with grace and truth. Forgive us for often elevating truth over love and grace, please help us to accept them first, not judge them, treat them with Your way, and change their lives with Your mighty transforming power, lead them into the truth. Replace lies, so the blessings can come to them and their families.
• Raise Up ministries to serve LGBT : Heavenly Father, we bring the homosexual before Your throne of grace. You know the wound of everyone that has been hurt, You have solution to every situations. Heavenly Father, please rise up churches and ministries to help them, and please intervene and touch them in a personal way, heal and fill them with Your love, lead and guide them into the freedom of truth, to break away from the control of the power of fornication and lust, to receive the blessing from You.
• Pray for the pornography industry: Heavenly Father, we pray for those who produce, distribute pornographic videos also promote sex slaves, forgive them for identify with the lies and spread the lies, misled and hurt people. Heavenly Father, may Your salvation come quickly to them, saves their souls, helps them to know the truth, turn from evil to good, to become the vessel of blessings for God.
• Repent for the church’s compromise  with the world: Heavenly Father, forgive the church for her silence, compromise, and lack of vigilance, hiding the light under the bushel, Please forgive the church for for not being the righteous voice, for not making an impact on the society but compromising with it and recognizing homosexuality and marrying the LGBT couples. Please forgive the church in confusing the truth , tolerate the sin of fornication. Please forgive and once again wash the church with the precious blood of Jesus, like washing the church with the truth, to help the church to walk in Your truth and release sound to awaken those in darkness!

Pray for the Second Meeting Between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un

【Current Event: US President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will hold the second meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam on the 27th and 28th. US government officials said that in the second meeting between the US and North Korean leaders, they sought to reach a consensus on denuclearization. The format of the meeting will be similar to last year, namely, one-on-one meeting and an enlarged meeting of the two delegations, and plans to issue a joint statement after the meeting. • Pray for Kim Jong-un’s salvation :May the mercy of God come to him and his family, save their souls, and let him encounter the great light of Damascus, so that he can experience the power of God in a miraculous way, and remove his stony heart with a heart of flesh, to know the most high God and truly be convicted of his sins. He will determine in his heart to lead the North Korean people out of poverty, enter the riches of the Kingdom of God, and release all the persecuted Christian to worship Jesus Christ, the one and only true God and join with South Korea to establish a united country and to accomplish the will of God for Korea.
• Pray for the second meeting of Trump Kim : God, continue to anoint President Trump and give him wisdom and heavenly strategy, so North Korea can lose the defensiveness and President Kim will surrender completely to You and not to rely on others ( Isaiah 45 :1) , no longer cunning, or doubt mindedness. In this meeting, more specific agreements and programs of denuclearization will be signed according to God’s will. Nuclear weapons will be completely eliminated, and the unity of North and South Korea will be carried out in a godly way. In the name of Jesus. God will intervene in the political and spiritual conditions of Korea, open the gates of Heaven for North Korea, and completely destroy Satan’s communist stronghold, and the ancient sun god system in North Korean. Release North Korean into freedom, to keep true peace on the peninsula, the kingdom of God will come to the Korean peninsula. Keep people of North and South Korea, Japan, the United States, China and other countries from the scourge of war and nuclear weapons, and ensure regional security in East Asia, and may even push the disintegration or transformation of relationships between North Korea and China.

• Pray for the church in North Korean : God, please protect the Christians of the North Korean Church, to have the simple confidence of the early church believers In today’s generation, prepare them to become the Joel’s army. God, please use President Trump to release the imprisoned and persecuted Christians in North Korean
• Proclamation for South Korea : In the name of Jesus we declare, God reigns in South Korea, and through the mighty power of God, North and South Korea will become a united nation in Christ. Any ungodly link between North and South Korean government will be terminated, and any evil plans against unity will be rejected. ( Psalm 58:6-8 ) The intercessors of the nations and North and the South Korea join in one heart to intercede, the spiritual atmosphere will be turned around and the country will be transformed. We pray that South Korea will bless North Korea more in the economy, missions, etc., so that North and South Korea can form a united country and enter into her apostolic call, and the domino effect will initiate a global wave of mission  like Acts. • Identification Repentance for the former Japanese government: Heavenly Father, we come before the throne of grace to confess and repent for the sins of former Japanese government for taking the land from the Ainu, killing them, attempting to destroy them, and treating them like second class citizen. Father God, forgive us for assimilating them by force: forcing them to learn Japanese, changing their names, forbidding  them to carry out their traditional ways of fishing, hunting and gathering, forcing them into agriculture, giving them unsuitable land for farming, causing them to be in a situation of prolonged hardship and poverty，which resulted in many Ainu people starved to death.  Heavenly Father, forgive us for the sins of the past. Thank You for the reconciliation between the current government and the Ainu, acknowledging the Ainu as  the First Nation of Japan and passing the bill to protect them. Please continue to give wisdom and ability to the government, to help the Ainu finding their honor and dignity, and to stand up strong.
• Identification Repentance for the Ainu: Heavenly Father, we confess and repent before You, for not knowing You as the God who created the universe, instead we sinned against You by worshiping creatures, ancestors, and idols  and succumb to the bondage of the dark forces.  Please forgive us, give us the spirit of repentance and the light of the Truth, to lead us out of darkness into the light of the kingdom of  Your beloved son Jesus Christ.
• Identification Repentance for the Japanese church : Heavenly Father, forgive Japanese churches for treating the Ainu believers with contempt and pity in the past , failure to handle the conflicts between the gospel and culture properly, and not being empathetic in caring for them, causing believers to leave the church.  Even now the Ainu people still have a strong sense of rejection and are distant from Christianity. Father God, thank You for causing the Japanese Hokkaido church to repent and begin to really care about the Ainu people and to re-establish a good relationship with them. Thank You also for sending  the Taiwanese first nation peoples in the past 10 years to interact with them to share the Gospel and the resources of the Kingdom of God to the Ainu people, so that the Ainu people can build self-confidence and a sense of identity.
• Pray for the Ainu and the global First People : Heavenly Father, fill the Ainu with the power of Your great love, so the Ainu can receive the gospel into their hearts , give them with the spirit of wisdom and revelation, for them to know the one and only true God, to redeem their souls, to restore the God given dignity and glory, to know their identities in the kingdom of God and are  no longer hidden out of sense of inferiority.  Rise up the young people to inherit the beautiful traditional culture, to receive the abundant blessings of the Kingdom of God and to be connected with the global First People.  May You raise up the global First Nations, to enter the call and destiny of God as the elder sons, to stand as the gatekeepers of the land, to take up their spiritual authority and to bring down the revival for the whole earth!
• Bless the reconciliation between Japan and the First people : Heavenly Father, thank You for raising up Ainu political leaders, to release the sound of righteousness, leading the Ainu to a chapter of new life, breaking the false image of “single tribe” of Japan.  Bring down the new anointing of the spiritual breakthrough over the entire Japan, to be “reconciled with God, reconciled with oneself, and others.” Faithful, eternal Father, may You draw them with Your righteousness  and Your great light to walk in the path of righteousness according to Your will. Rise up more First Nation peoples to go into various fields, take up the authority as eldest son, to receive the inheritance from heaven and be a blessing to Japan.
• Pray for the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan: Heavenly Father, thank You for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, bless the Ainu to have the desire of their hearts, to introduce themselves to the world through the Olympics, drawing the global  body of Christ of the First Nations to be connected, and prepare oversea missionaries to enter Japan through the Olympic Games. Spread the gospel and bless Japan with the baptism of the gospel.

【Event: A new era of Social Justice rose up after President Election 2016. ‘Justice Democrats’ is an American progressive political action committee founded on January 23, 2017. Pray for Rain In Spite of Israeli Engineering Innovation to Save the Shrinking Sea of Galilee

【Event: More than a million tourists visit the Sea of Galilee each year but the biblical lake is shrinking after several years of drought. Israel is having a rainy winter and there’s snow on Mount Hermon but the country is still suffering from a water shortage after five years of drought. Israel’s rainy season begins in late October and continues until mid-March. After that, it usually doesn’t rain.

Water shortage has always been a problem in Israel. In 1964, Israel began adding big pumps to deliver water from the Sea of Galilee to the south, or to the middle of Israel. But water shortage continued and became even more severe. On top of that Israel gives Jordan 50 million cubic meters of water as part of the 1994 peace agreement and Jordan is asking for more.

Israeli Water Authority spokesman, Uri Schor, told CBN News, “Until not so long ago, the Sea of Galilee was one of three main natural sources that supplied water. It supplied a third of the quantity of water. Now, it hardly supplies.” Growing population, increasing demand and a drop in the quantity of water have all contributed to the situation. The lake is now more than 15 feet below the full line. In a rainy winter, it would normally rise about five-and-a-half feet. Then it begins to evaporate again in the summer. If the water level drops too low, the lake will become salty and then it will be lost as a drinking source permanently.

That’s why Israel tried a unique approach. Schor explained that Israel planned and started building water carriers that will bring water from the desalination plants to the Sea of Galilee in order to keep the level of the water high enough in order not to lose the Sea of Galilee as a drinking water point. Schor said they can’t fill the lake completely with desalinated water but they can add enough so as not to lose the quality of the water. “I do not think that you have another lake in the world that people fill it with manmade water in order not to lose it. So, we’ll be pioneers about that as well,” he said.

Schor said once every 20-30 years Israel gets enough rain to fully restore the Sea of Galilee in one winter but they can’t count on it. “Pray hard for rains. That’s what we need, a lot of prayers.” 】 (NBC News 02-18-2019)

【Current events: In the last few months of 2018, French society fell into the most serious riots in the past 50 years. According to the French Ministry of the Interior, from the end of 2017 to the end of 2018, anti-Semitism attacks on Jews increased by as much as 74 percent, from 311 to 541 incidents. The French yellow vest movement is mixed with extreme left and extreme right forces; as a result, the anti-Semitism phenomenon became prominent during the yellow vest movement.

According to Israeli Ynet News, about 200,000 Jews in France are preparing to immigrate to Israel in the near future. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu authorized a national program to encourage expatriates to “return” from France.

According to reports, the number of Jews in Israel reached 6 million, surpassing the number of Jews in the United States (5.7 million) for the first time, making Israel with the most Jews in the world.

In addition, the total number of Jews in Ethiopia is about 9,000. Last year, nearly 1,000 Ethiopian Jews were granted immigrant status. They waited an average of 15 years and this year (2019) they could finally make their way to Israel. The first group of 83 people arrived in Israel on 2/4/2019. 】

Pray for Taiwan: Facing  Another Waves of Homosexuality

【Event: The Taiwan government conducted  a referendum on the legalization of same-sex marriage in November last year . As a result, 7.65 million voted for referendums against the legalization of same-sex marriage, and agreed for the government to establish a special law to protect the rights of homosexual couples.  Currently, the draft of the Executive Yuan is released.  Although the term “same sex marriage” is avoided in the bill, the content is for the same sex marriage, which violates the referendums. The Executive Branch did not propose a draft amendment to the marriage of a man and a woman, nor did it abolish the relevant laws and regulations on the education of primary and secondary schools, but introduced a same-sex marriage bill that violated the referendums. The Coalition for the Happiness of our Next Generation (Abbr. The Coalition for the Happiness)  will continue to oppose the  this Executive bill.  Before the end of May, within the time period for the revision of the law, there will also be another 40 days of national fasting and prayer, starting February 28th.

The draft of “ Interpretation and Implementation of the law number 748” that was sent to the Legislative Yuan to be reviewed on February 21, is not the “same-sex living law” that the Coalition of Happiness expected.  Rather than the next generation of happiness alliance Pastor Shaoen Kuo(Pastor of the House of Christ in Taipei) published the article “ a day of distress, rebuke and disgrace.” on the 21st, calling for the Taiwanese churches, which support the movement of “Love and Protect Family and Children” to pray together and to participate in the convocation of 228 and Forty days of Praying and Fasting that begins on March 1, calling on God to reign and rule the kingdom of men until we see the glory of God .

Approaching May 24, 2 years anniversary of the No. 748 “Sunrise Clause“.  due to the referendum on the election in November last year (2018), the 3 referendums proposed by the Coalition of Happiness  were passed.  A group of citizens who care about the issue of family and children launched a thousand people march around the Executive Yuan prayer vigil  at 7:00 pm of February 19, calling on the Executive Director Jenchang Su to honor the referendum results. The original 30-minute prayer vigil drew waves and waves of caring citizen participating. it couldn’t be stopped even after 9:30pm, there were still people swarming in to participate.  

However, the Executive Yuan’s  version is still not in line with the expectations of the Coalition of Happiness. Pastor Shaoen Kuo believes that the “common marriage law” cannot be contrary to the will of God. Facing such difficulties, the churches in Taiwan should come together and pray until the glory of the Lord is manifested. Pastor Kuo prayed to God and said, “What we can’t do with our hands, we can do with our prayers, nothing is too difficult for God. God, may You call Your churches, to fulfill Your will  in 2019, show Your glory in Taiwan, May Your blessing stay in Taiwan”.   We declare: “The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord (Prov . 16:33), ” In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him. (Prov 21:1)

How should we respond?

The version of the “Special Law” of the Executive Yuan has been released! The definition of marriage and family is ambiguous, and the implementation of regulations is dodging the point! Many brothers and sisters are confused,  disappointed, angry, and bewildered… At this moment, how should we respond?

When I got up in the morning, the Father put the experience of Hezekiah in my heart! “ This is a day of distress, and of rebuke, disgrace ……” (I king 19:1-4) , when the country encountered great difficulties, the enemy attacked, humiliated, people fell into deep distress! Isn’t Judah undergoing a spiritual revival? Isn’t God with them, and blessed them? How did it end up this way? (2 Chronicles 29-32 / II King 18-19)

How could this be? What are we to do ?

In King Hezekiah, the Bible reveals a “way out” at this moment! Before people: silent! (2 Kings 18:36);  before God: Cry out! (2 Kings 19:1 ) When the Assyrian army coming toward the city with arrogance and fierce, it is easy to imagine that the whole country was in chaos… a lot of hustle and bustle.  Hezekiah told everyone: be silent, go to the Lord and tell Him! Let the voice of the people quiet down, so the work of God can be revealed! Although we can do nothing, our Lord is full of power! So, we saw: never in the history of mankind, God personally intervened and took over – overnight, the angesl of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousands in the Assyrian camp! ( 2 Chronicles 21 / II King 19: 35 ) At the greatest  danger, we can experience the greatest glory of God!

Difficulties, cause our souls to wake up!

Isn’t the experience Taiwan went through, along the way similar? – difficulties, has awaken our souls !

• In December 2016, 130,000 people march onto the street Kaida and stood for the truth! However,
• In May 2017, the Chief Justice’s interpretation of the Constitution made people extremely disappointed! At a critical moment, silent, not be discouraged, continue to cry out to God! Suddenly,
• In December 2017, the amendment to the “referendum law” was passed, and there was a break of dawn! Then,

• On November 24, 2018, we saw God’s mighty glory: He reign and make the impossible, possible. He gathered and made the Taiwanese church body shifted, to become the Lord’s army, and possessed the land for the Lord, Hallelujah!

2019 is the year of war, and the year of victory!

The work of God is always: at first, it seems impossible, then, it is too hard, and finally: God did it! From “Impossible, too difficult, to God did it”,  is all the work of God, God’s glory, and all we could do is: at each time of hardships, silent, and look to God, not affected by the environment, not discouraged! Continue to do our part and do what needs to be done! Continue to cry out to God and for Him to manifest His might! Then, we continue to experience God! 2019 is the year of glory, we will experience His greater glory! However, without battle, there is no victory, no victory, no glory? Therefore, 2019 is the year of war, the year of victory! At this moment, there are still many brothers and sisters, applying the wisdom, resources, and influence that God has given them! May they not be discouraged and continue: lobbying, mobilizing, fighting, doing what needed to be done! For the rest of us, be silent, keep them in our prayers! Let Joshua know that when they are out fighting hard in the valley, many families are praying fervently on the mountain, co-laboring with them in the battle! They are not alone! Now is only the beginning of 2019. Persist in the war!   We believe Taiwan is chosen by God . We will live out the glory of God in the end time generation–so the world can see that the Lord is truly reigning in the kingdom of men! 2019 is the year of glory, God is moving!

Pray for LBGT

【Background: The homosexual wave is sweeping the world, and the annual LGBT Pride Parade around the world became more and more rampant. But we have very little understanding of this group and the holy love in accepting them. In terms of self-image and self-acceptance, the LGBT group is more vulnerable to be trapped in the enemy’s prison and bondage than other people. Most of them  experienced brokenness in their lives growing up, which made them see sex and love as the same, and their lives are full of lies. depression, drug addiction, pornography and promiscuity are very high in the LGBT community, and they allow their own body to be used as unrighteous tool!.

Spiritual fornication bring about fornication of the land. Many homosexual families or their ancestors had exposed themselves in the spiritual realm through worshiping idols and false gods therefore committed fornication. so the children and descendants are exposed to the power of the enemy, and can become easy preys.

Many homosexuals are not really homosexuals. They used to have friend from opposite sex, but because of the hurt from break up and the fear of being hurt again, they turned to same sex for relationship. Some came from unhappy or broken families. Some were not the gender the family expected, were wounded in the mother’s womb that also led them to become homosexual.

There are many movies that are full of homosexuality infiltrating in the society. Even Disney films are advocating that LGBT is normal and even good for children. In this wrong guidance, people’s acknowledgement of homosexuality is increasing. Some young people on school campus even think that homosexuality is fashionable. 】

Pray for the second meeting between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un

【Current events: US President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will hold the second meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam on the 27th and 28th. US government officials said that in the second meeting between the US and North Korean leaders, they sought to reach a consensus on denuclearization. The format of the meeting will be similar to last year, namely, one-on-one meeting and an enlarged meeting of the two delegations, and plans to issue a joint statement after the meeting. The United States is still not sure whether North Korea has decided to abandon its nuclear weapons and facilities, but believes that this possibility exists. The US will push North Korea to freeze all weapons of mass destruction and missile projects

First Trump Kim summit had eased the relationship between the North Korea and the United States : On June 12, 2018, US President Trump held his first meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore. The meeting had accomplished several achievements and the moderated the US-North Korea relations.

The denuclearization negotiations between the two sides reached a stalemate : The US and North Korea had subsequently held several negotiations on the implementation of the contents of Trump Kim summit. Although the two countries continued to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, but had reached a stalemate. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo could not meet with Kim during his visit to North Korea. Right after his visit, North Korea official issued a statement accusing the US’s attitude of demanding nuclear-free. North Korea also deliberately not attend the meeting for returning the bodies of soldier of the US military, causing the US to wait needlessly. The real message behind it is that “North Korea does not want to be denuclearized.” Negotiations between the two sides on how to achieve the goal of North Korea’s denuclearization are in deadlock.

North Korea is playing the Chinese card, with no intention to abandon the nuclear : North Korea is going along with China, trying to create space for negotiations through the US-China trade war. When the US imposed $34 billion a 25% tariff on Chinese goods on July 6, caused China quite a challenge. So China demanded that North Korea immediately create trouble in the Trump Kim nuclear talks, to fight for more bargaining chips for China. Especially since the Trump Kim summit, the US has repeatedly discovered through satellite photos that the missile factory in North Korea is still expanding, and the nuclear facilities in the Yongbyon area are also upgrading. Therefore, North Korea does not seem to want to abandon its nuclear program. The “China-North Korea Communist League” is likely still  in operation.

Trump is trying to create a win-win situation, and give Kim another opportunity to make the choice: Trump knows very well the collusion between China and North Korea. He has repeatedly stated that in order to solve the issue with North Korea, he must start with China. However, Trump still hopes to continue the “good foreign relations” strategy from Trump Kim summit, and show goodwill to Kim Jong-un, so he can lead the Korean people to follow the United States, to improve the economy and livelihood of the people, creating a new future. This will not only allow 25 million North Korean to escape poverty and hunger, but also keep people of North and South Korea, Japan, the United States, China and other countries from the scourge of war and nuclear weapons, and ensure regional security in East Asia, and may even push the disintegration or transformation of relationships between North Korea and China. For Trump, this is a win-win situation  that allows the US and the North Korea to completely resolve the threat of nuclear weapons. It is also a transaction with multiple benefits for the global community with the lowest cost, while saving tens of millions of valuable lives. Therefore, Trump still expressed goodwill to Kim Jong-un and tried his best to persuade him and give him a chance to choose.  

Kim Jong-un asked for the second Trump Kim meeting : On September 11, 2018, US President Trump received a letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, requesting the second meeting of the two. Both the United States and the North Korea hope to accelerate the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula through the second summit. 】

Pray for Ainu the First Nation People in Japan: Revive and Restore the Language and Culture that is on the Verge of Disappearing

【Current Event : According to South China Morning Post, the Japanese government passed a bill on February 15, for the first time to protect the honor and dignity of the Ainu people and their inheritance to the next generation, so they can acknowledge and be proud of their true identity, no longer hidden. The Ainu hopes to introduce their culture to the world through the coming Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

Ainu strives to restore their name for centuries

Japan has always emphasized that she is a single tribal nation. The Ainu people have strived and overcome many obstacles to redeem their true recognition. In 1976, the Ainu first built the Ainu National Museum “Porotokotan”,  a lakeside village in Hokkaido. The desire to ​​restore Ainu culture is intensified. Under the constant petitions of local Ainu groups, the Japanese government passed the 1997 Culture Promotion Law. From then on, the Ainu people has begun to participate in congressional elections。  They started to promote legislation, to preserved culture, strive for social status, and actively interact with more than ten indigenous peoples in Taiwan. Together they have engaged in promoting legislature for the purpose of self-government. In 2008, influenced by The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)， Japanese National Assembly passed the bill, marking the Ainu as the only officially recognized minority in Japan.

Ainu has long been subjected to forced assimilation

Most of the Ainu people have big eyes and broad eyebrows. They believed all things have a spirit and worshiped them as gods. They worship their ancestors, hold yearly grand bear and salmon festivals separately, and follow a religion based on natural phenomena. Beyond many sources of ethnic origins, most scholars agree that the Ainu is one of the long-standing indigenous peoples in Japan. China’s New Tang Book ever described the  Ainu to China as “hairy people”. Most of them live in Hokkaido, Russia’s Kuril Islands, Sakhalin and Kamchatka, and originally maintained a trading relationship with Japan. But after the Meiji dynasty, in the middle of the 17th century, many wars broke out, the land of the Ainu was taken into Japanese territory, 1.6 million Japanese people settled in, and the Ainu began to lose their territory. Under the Yamato rulership, they gradually lost their language, culture and history.  School textbooks also avoided mentioning the forced capture of the Ainu people during the Meiji era.

Yupo Abe, the deputy head of the Ainu Association of Hokkaido told South China Morning Post “In 1869, the then Japanese government unilaterally took away all the land of the Ainu people and changed the name of our homeland to Hokkaido, without the consent of the only residents of the island,” he added “The government then started to colonize Hokkaido and prohibited the Ainu from expressing their culture or from carrying out our traditional forms of hunting, fishing and gathering, forced them to change our names.” Many Ainu people have been starved to death because of the regulations and the government’s assimilation policies.   They gave back to  Ainu 10,000 hectares unsuitable for farming, and yet gave the Japanese settlers 100,000 hectares good land.

Today’s Ainu

Like many aboriginal people around the world, after decades of compulsory assimilation policies, most of the Ainu people in Japan have lost contact with traditional lifestyles. Abe said: “The Japanese society is not friendly to ethnic minorities. The Ainu people are constantly discriminated from job hunting and school education, and even dare not to admit their identity. Under the constant assimilation, the pure-blooded Ainu almost disappear. There are also huge gap in the passing on of the culture.  According to current official statistics, more than 20,000 people are the Ainu people, but from the local estimation there are at least 200,000 Ainu.”

Ainu believers of Christ

Early British Anglican evangelist John Batchelor (1854-1944) dedicated in the mission to  the Ainu, worked hard to translate the New Testament Bible into Ainu language, and compiled a dictionary of Ainu.  Batchelor trained an Ainu named Eva Torazo as a missionary for his country fellowmen. Torazo baptized 1,158 Ainu souls, and half of the total 2,380 followers of the Anglican Church in Hokkaido were the Ainu.  However, during the Japanese-Russian war, inflation soared, the church was barely able to sustain themselves and not able to care for the Ainu believers.  Also, after John Boller transferred the missionary ministry to Japanese believers, the Ainu believers decreased rapidly. The main reason was that Japanese believers have no strong concern for the Ainu people. The attitude of Japanese believers to the Ainu people is “scornful and pathetic.” This is something that the Ainu people couldn’t stand for it  gave them a strong sense of rejection from the Japanese believers.  They chose to stay distant from Christianity.  Today the Hokkaido Church is making efforts to re-establish friendly relations with the Ainu people.
