Declaration Prayer For USA: Pray Against Covid19 Pandemic in US Army
Current Event: According to a report on the US “Military” website on January 15, as 25,000 US National Guard soldiers flooded into Washington, D.C., the covid-19 infection crisis is also surging behind it. A US military spokesman said that among the National Guard members currently sent to Washington, 43 cases of infection have been reported. 【Current Event: Part of the demonstrations against the Dutch government’s curfew and other epidemic prevention measures turned into violent and illegal activities on the JAN 24th 2021. Dutch law enforcement agencies arrested more than 240 people across the country that day. The police in Amsterdam, the Dutch capital, reported that nearly 200 people were arrested in the city that day, some of whom threw stones and firecrackers on the street. The Dutch military police said on social media that they have supported local police in law enforcement in at least two southern cities. The Dutch Broadcasting Corporation said that vehicles were set ablaze in some places, some demonstrators ransacked shops, and at least 10 cities and towns deployed riot police to implement curfews.
In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Dutch parliament approved a national curfew on the 21st. 【Background: Holland a.k.a. the kingdom of Holland, is situated in Western Europe, next to the North Sea, a main gateway to Europe, with an extremely high population density. Being a member of the European Union, unemployment is low.
Holland is known to be a democratic nation, and its society is long-known for being tolerant of differences, with laws permitting abortion, sex-trade, homosexuality, euthanasia and limited acceptance to and legal usage of recreational drugs, such as marijuana. In 2001, it became the first nation in the world to legalize same-sex marriage, and in 2002, it became the first nation in the world to legalize euthanasia, and is a nation leading the charge of the “new age” movement. Holland is a nation with a minority for homosexual marriage and legalizing co-habitation laws, at the same time, statistics show less and less of the Dutch people are entering into marriage, with half of newborns being out of wedlock.
Spiritual condition:
Holland was a Protestant nation. But now, Holland is one of the most secular nations in Europe, with around half of her population not engaging in religion activities. Her main religion include Catholicism (28% of the total population) and Protestantism (16% of the total population). Islam has become the third largest religion in Holland. Behind the mask of tolerance of the Dutch people, lies spiritual apathy. Furthermore, large number of believers are leaving the church, and are plunging into immorality, losing their witness. Dutch Christian newspaper “Motherland” once published an article, pointing out that the new Muslim Europe has already arrived, it is as if there is a mass migration of Christians which has emptied the churches of Europe. In fact many historical Christian churches have already been sold to the lowest bidder, and have become residential buildings, hotels and prayer centers for other religions.
Dutch Catholic bishop Tiny Muskens called for the name “Lord/God” to be changed to “Allah”, in order to diffuse the tension between Muslims and Christians. He believes God does not mind, since Indonesian and Middle-Eastern Christians call God “Allah”. Holland has a Muslim population of over 1 million.
